Cannabis Industry - Black Community Advisory Group

With 22 years working in the Security and safety Industry, Rondell began his successful career as a Police Officer in the Chicago and Denver metro areas.  Later, he had the opportunity to work for the United States Commerce Department holding top-secret clearance for four years with the Special Police Service. Rondell then founded a Protective Services company that grew to include services in 20 states nationwide.  He was also setting up security services and safety programs for major U.S. companies in Brazil, Mexico, Ireland and Canada, as well as designing a state-of-the-art safety program for corporate protection. 

Rondell has a wide range of experience emphasized on compliance, safety, security and risk management. His former roles include being as a Regional Safety Manager, Director of Underwriting and Safety for one of the top 10 largest staffing companies. During his previous tenure, he was also very much involved with creating and maintaining d World Class Risk Management Program which won multiple awards that include: 

  • 2007 OSHA Golden-Gate Partnership Award 

  • 2007 OSHA Excellence Award, 2008 Risk Innovators Award

  • 2008 National Underwriters Award for Excellence in Work Comp Risk Management 

  • 2009 Business Insurance Risk Manager of the Year Award

During his time as the Director of Underwriting and Safety overseeing the Western United States and Northern CA. Rondell was reasonable for Regional Safety Manager providing safety training to each location to help mitigate injuries and potential WC claims by implementing and maintaining various safety programs that included:

  • Oversee 40 branches in Northern California and Western US

  • Manage (5) regional safety managers

  • Safety training for direct reports, supervisors and managers

  • Complete risk evaluation and underwriting on each new account

  • Implement safety programs, conduct mock OSHA inspections

  • Investigate root cause and analysis for all on-site injuries

  • Develop and implement bonus incentives to decrease the number of on-site injuries

  • Perform individual plant safety in-services as it relates to injury prevention

  • Provide safety training in multiple service industries

  • Safety Incentive and On The Spot Safety Programs to reward and encourage safe behavior.

In 2014, Rondell expended his safety training by accepting a position with a major Airline working as a   Safety Coordinator at Denver International Airport. My duties included the following: 

  • Training below the wing personal on aircraft safety and airport ground safety

  • Food Safety program on all flights 

  • Warehouse safety Programs

 

Rondell has the following certification: 

  • Human Factors Analysis and Classification System for Aviation

  • Completed OSHA 10, 30 and 40 Hour Courses

  • Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)

  • Construction Risk & Insurance Specialist (CRIS)
